I research the geopolitics of advanced technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, semiconductor export controls, ASML, quantum technologies, and strategic competition between the United States and China.

I joined HCSS in 2017 and previously worked there in a series of data-analysis and research roles.

I design and teach interdisciplinary courses on technological innovation, societal change, and social-science research. My courses include Data Futures Lab and Classical and Modern Sociological Thought.
