Why Liberalism Failed (2018)

The conservative critique of the failures of liberalism. He argues for a return to older values of community, religion, and tradition. My book is explicitly not post-liberal restoration literature, and Deneen marks the line I am refusing to cross. He identifies real failures. I think he misidentifies where they come from and where they point.

Read it asking: Deneen and I agree on much of the diagnosis and almost nothing about the direction. Can the prescription and the diagnosis exist independently from each other?
