The Technological Republic: Hard Power, Soft Belief, and the Future of the West (2025)

A frontal attack on Western culture as being complacent, intellectually frail, and lacking decisive leadership. This book underlines the messianic argument the tech elite makes in propagating its own vision of the future. It broadly underwrites my thesis, that technological change has made institutions obsolete, but goes much further in arguing that technology should directly replace institutions. The book is definitely anti-liberal, but the debate on whether it is also anti-democratic is ongoing.
